This strip, panel 6--Capt. Tagon's rank insignia seem to be missing.

Following the above, the next two strips seem to have the same problem. Monday's may just be the way he's standing, but Tuesday's strip looks like the at least one bolt should be partially showing.

8/16 strip, "We don't do "Company "Town" enforcement" has three double quotes, and should probably be "Company Town," with only two. "Company 'Town'" might also work.

Saturday August 22, 2015 Panel two

The commodore has captain's bolts in the second panel.

Epaulets are correct in the third panel.

Um, those are insignia . . . if they have epaulets, that's the things out on the light part of the sleeve past the shoulder seam.

Okay, he's showing incorrect rank in panel two. Correct rank in panel three.

Is Iafa a She or a He?

Broken Wind was consistently referred to with feminine pronouns, did the makeover change this?

http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2015-09-13

Cindercone says, "Iafa and I just discussed this. He's briefing the commodore."

First panel, "the most efficient generators, annie plants, require ptu's..."

Should not have an apostrophe.

But . . . what's a ptus?

About the best way to fix that one would be ". . . P.T.U.s . . ." or ". . . PTUs . . .", or reword it as " . . . require a lot of PTU . . .".

The strip for October 12: Massey should be saying "seem" not "seems".

Regardless, the apostrophe is not correct.

The first word bubble in today's strip is missing a full stop at the end.

January 1, central panel, top word bubble, middle of the first line: I believe "neofan" is a misspelling of "neoafan".

Sorry this is late, but Monday August 19th 2013 in the last panel it says
"I'm going go with not yet"
It should be
"I'm going to go with not yet."

Though I'm sure it's too late to change things.

http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2008-08-08 There seems to be a speech bubble tail missing in the first panel. It's clear Ebby is talking but there's no tail to him in either first or second panels.

www.schlockmercenary.com/2008-08-11 last panel, I'm fairly certain it's supposed to be 'Woe' not 'wo'.

Looks like the first two panels are missing. There are no panels to correspond with this part of the transcript:

Narrator: Splattering an inbound missile is usually not a big deal. A stream of accelerated particles will suffice.
Narrator: The Tough's outriding tanks have heavy particle cannons for just this sort of work.
Brad: Take numbers six through eleven, 'Chelle. I'll sweep one through five.

I'd say one panel-set . . . the first panel-set present is schlock20080511b.jpg, which implies the existance of schlock20080511a.jpg . . . (checks) . . . which is a single sub-panel with one Brad speech balloon and two narrator blocks.

schlock20080511a.jpg is identical to schlock20080511b.jpg.

/strip/2891/0/schlock20080511b.jpg is the current panel "1 & 2"
/strip/2891/1/schlock20080511c.jpg is the current panel "3".

Everything after the /strip/2891/0/ is pretty much ignored, give these links a shot and you'll see:
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/strip/2 ... 80511c.jpg
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/strip/2 ... INHERE.jpg

Which means the actual first panels somehow got lost and the current ones relabeled as there is no way to get a previous panel to that date, 2891 being the two-thousand eight hundred ninety-first strip and the "0" and "1" being panel designations*. The schlock20080511b.jpg is probably the name of the panel as it was in Mr. Tayler's filing system.

* And there is no "/strip/2891/2/".

Text is "SKOOOM"
Transcript is "SFX: WHUMP"

On the next page, http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2004-08-20, we see the plant was hit, but safely defused. So "Whump" might be the right term after all. Not sure.

"Large enough to … Small enough to…"

With respect, I disagree.

* "Large enough" means "Your fines are large enough to make you feel some pain from your mis-deeds."
* "Small enough" refers to the fact that the steeper the penalty, the more the temptation to try to get out of it by rebelling. It's a cost-benefit decision: if the penalty is too steep, the benefits gained (the Esspies get some of the benefit of the sale of the "shovels") no longer outweigh the costs (Murtaugh's "cut"). With a less steep penalty, the costs of a rebellion (military expense and the risks of possible failure) outweigh the benefits (a relatively merciful settlement).

That depends on if you're talking about fines or profits.

If they're talking fines, then your reading is correct, but I read it as applying to profits, in which case it's backwards.

*nods* Whereas I read large and small in relation to Murtaugh's "cut"--basically, a fine or penalty taken from what they could have made from the sale of shovels.
