For 2014-07-14: In the last frame, Breya appears to have four-inch, absolutely straight eyelashes protruding from her right eye. Is this intentional?

It's "weird, not "wierd."

Hi Howard,
Lately I've noticed that the character image borders are appearing to become thicker. All artists change over time. But, this seems to be more of an unintentional setting change rather than a stylistic change... Sorry for posting in copy editing. It seemed to be the most reasonable area to ask.

There's a dead image instead of a strip on http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2014-08-14

Edit: As it works for some, but still doesn't work for me, my browser is Firefox 31.0, running on Windows 7. Appears to work with Chrome, though.

The link in the footnote to http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2001-02-02 points to a dead Hubble site page. The Eta Carinae image can now be found at http://hubblesite.org/newscenter/archive/releases/1996/23/image/a/

Hi. Paul the Newbie Reader here, still under moderation probation (modrobation?). Hopefully someone will eventually see this, but:

August 11, 2008: "wo is me" should be "woe is me". Both comic and transcript show the error. (In other news, I got a good belly laugh out of that last frame.)

2014, 5 December--there seems to be a graphics glitch in Bela-Amin's speech bubble in the second panel--the last word of "can get our hands on."

UPDATE: Seems to be fixed now.

Transcript is a duplicate of that for the following strip.

Also, the errors mentioned in my previous post persist.

In the Apr 14, 2002 strip, the note references this link about the ranking system in Tagon's Toughs. However, the actual link is dead, and just throws a "no such page" error.

In the strip: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/2013-04-12, Barry says the artificial gravity feels like 0.8 Gee. Trevor throws a ball and says the gravity feels like 15 M/Sec². One Gee is approvimately 9.84 M/Sec². This makes 15 M/Sec² approximatley 1.5 Gee. I find it quite unlikely that anybody who's lived in an approximately 1 Gee acceleration would mistake 1.5 Gee for 0.8. For real nit-picking, Trevor says M/Sec, not the more correct M/Sec².

No fifteen meters per second is the speed of the ball as it encircles the central structure. It's not an acceleration.

In the latest strip (2015-03-30), Iafa calls Tagon Senior "Commodore", however, he appears to have admirals ovals on his shoulders.

2015-04-27, Murtaugh's name is misspelled in Captain Landon's speech bubble in the second panel.

The last word balloon is missing a period:

On 2002-01-01, Jun-Cho's bar is called the "Hairless Glinck" in the strip. In the transcript, and in the subsequent 2002-01-08 comic and transcript, it's spelled "Glink" (without the 'c').

On 2015-06-28 ... this is not a text copy edit, but Cindercone's avatar looks like she's flashing an obscene gesture. It took me a moment to realize that it was her index finger that was extended.

In the note for this strip, the last line of the first paragraph has all but one of the ">" characters replaced with "&gt".

This strip, first panel: "It is an artifice of treatments...."

Did you mean artifice, or artifact, especially definition 4?

Jumpstar Prime is going to be reborn as something a frontier boom town sired on a tourist trap.

Should be "as something of a frontier..."

The original seems to be correct. It's a colourful way of saying it will be a cross between a frontier boom town and a tourist trap.
