 Post subject: A Recurring Theme?
PostPosted: Sat Mar 01, 2008 1:54 am
I just noticed something. A lot of the big epic storylines in Schlock Mercenary end up having multiple copies of a person as a major part of the plot. I mean, first it was the gate clones from the Teraport Wars, then there was the alternate timeline Kevyn from the time travel thing, and then there's Project Lazarus, with the making copies of a person's memory and building a new one if the original dies.

Anyone else notice this? Or was this mentioned and something that's totally obvious to everyone but me?

Another major theme in this comic is the humanity of artificial man-made things.

I think its Howard's way of making a scifi with theological implications, but I'm probably wrong.

another reoccurring theme is shooting things...
Or the use of gravity manipulation
or the invention of a new galaxy shaking technology.

There are definitely reoccurring themes in the comic, every author has to have his style/
