Guess we have our red shirt, even though Doctor is the one wearing that color. Perhaps Howard can surprise us with this lampshade haning.

The good news is that you'll only have to wait for Sunday's update.

The bad news is that subscribers on the iPhone/iPad apps already saw what happens, and may be smiling knowingly at your post.

The worst news is that by the end of October we may have Android app subscribers engaging in that same smug, elitist behavior.

I don't currently have a subscription option for you. Good news, though. The strip remains free on the web.

YAY! I desperately want that Android app, because I will not put my dignity through the pain of buying an Apple product. :D

I'd say I won't sell my soul to Steve Jobs, but that would only be because I already sold it to Google. Can I get another one by eating someone else's?

Oh, sorry that wasn't supposed to be directed at you. :D

It's just that I don't own a smart phone so I guess I'm not in the same universe as the rest of the people who read Schlock Mercenary according to Big fire.

Whats-his-name is suddenly acting very clever.

Maybe its because while the Sanctum Adroit people think like police/armed response, and the Toughs think like mercenaries, he thinks like a gangster.

So in certain situations, he's effectively smarter.

other half??? how about us BlackBerry people - we still are 15% of the general market and 50% of the business market (and yes I could develop a BB app if someone requested it)

If you seriously want to do a BlackBerry app, we have an infrastructure in place for the server-side components, and a template in place for the business arrangement. Email schlockmercenary@gmail.com and I'll put you in touch with Gary Henson at Plus14.

What's with all this "App" nonesense? You whippersnappers, when I was your age all we could do with phones was call people, and we were grateful for the privilege! :P

PS: I'm probably younger than some of you. Perhaps than many of you.

Likewise. I think that shot she got off is going to end up being important.

We'll find out. It doesn't look like it'll hit Bristlecone's AI core. As it stands, the Toughs have a better shot at running away in Kathryn's bus than trying to take the whole gunship.

Just another way of support our favor webcomics. I've already bought all of the books, twice.

Nevermind, the stray round killed the bus... Guess Petey owes Kathryn a retrofit of Bristlecone.

Maybe we could rig up some phone number so that when calling it you hear a voice describing the events of today's comic, including a good old "Press 1 to go to the first comic, press 2 to go to yesterday's comic, press 3 to go to the archives, press...".

Oh, right, you sell books. I should buy those.

...As soon as I activate my replacement debit card. My old one just expired and I haven't brought the new one to an ATM yet.

Someone remind me in a few days if I haven't said anything more about that by then.

Be sure to do it before the new debit card fee kicks in.

Clearly I need to be posting periodic reminders in here. Not to nag people into buying books, but to make sure they know that the books exist, and are the best way to support the strip.

Well, I did technically know already, but I read a lot of comics and I can't afford to buy the books for every one of them. So I sort of push the knowledge of any webcomic-related books to the back of my mind. Schlock Mercenary has proved interesting enough for me to be able to justify buying the books anyway, but the knowledge of said books had already been filed away with the rest of them, so it took a reminder for it to jump out and grab my attention.

Hopefully that makes some sense.

Anyway, card activated. Are there any books I should be looking for that aren't in the Empoeror's Bundle? EDIT: Doesn't look like it. Bundle ordered.

:( I don't like iPhones either, I'm hoping to get an Android...

...and now my new job is going to issue me an iPhone because the owner thinks they are the greatest thing since sliced bread! On the plus side - Schlock App!
