I swear I was expecting Schlock to recognize the M3 as kin or address it directly for some reason.

Silly. Where would this comic be without a massively over-engineered Spud Gun?

And now that Schlock knows it "doesn't count as a gun" he'll want one. Because what are mouths for if not putting potatoes in?

There's no way the Potato Gun isn't gonna be used to bludgeon something to death.

We know Schlock better than that. He'll find some way to light someone afire with it.

Would that make it an Amorph Jacket Potato with a Salad Rocket mode that shoots greens?

But seriously, looking forward to seeing it in operation. Maybe the guardian will give a demonstration.

I'm thinking he wants to demonstrate it on Schlock.
As in incapacitate him as a potential threat.

Hmmmmm.....

If this was a Bond novel, would it be titled 'Tater Never Fries'?

And I don't think the guard would use it on Schlock just yet, at least not without asking him first.

Course that could change rapidly giving Schlock. ;)

Maaaybee. Seeing as how Schlock has already demonstrated some familiarity with the ballistics of Weaponized Potatoes...

I wonder if those 3,072 pages describe the spec for nonlethal weapons, or just the M3 specifically. Somehow both scenarios seem reasonable. Whether it actually meets the spec, well... maybe if they measure lethality by rounding down the probability of it being used inappropriately.

I still stand behind the uniform being the Chekov's gun, not the ring of shiny satellites.
That said, if anyone can break that tater so it's lethal, it'd be Schlock, Elf, or Kowalski. (Or Kevyn, but he's not in play at the moment.)

I think it's going to get added to the "guns" list, before this storyline is over.
