Cindy just loves over-penetration, but she'll settle for just a little bit this time.

Did anybody else see Cindy say, "I just love aiming..." and read that as, "I'm probably not going to bother figuring out what the shrapnel's going to hit, or the three or four ways that the robot's 90-cent plant is a massive bomb with a couple of limbs attached."

I definitely got the vibe that Cindy isn't as clever as Tagii and Tagon's about to find that out the hard way.

You realize she is the AI that shot off Tailor's cuffs with her point defense cannons back on Haven Hive. That seems like an AI that is very precise in her use of force to me.

I read it as "I love defeating chaos theory. I already know where the shrapnel is going to go."

If Cindy has gravy, it would be trivial to contain the explosive sequelae.

And if she doesn't, she does have very, very good aim.

It sounds like she is going to cut the annie from the bot with a single clean shot.

Is anyone else wondering why the Kitesfear II's PDC doesn't have breacher rounds, given the ubiquitousness of shields, even on little missiles?

One possibility is that the Dragon class has dual purpose guns rather than dedicated PDCs and even at the lowest setting they are powerful enough to be rude to fire indoors? That or the PDC are energy rather than projectile weapons and again don't have a setting suitable for using inside a structure you want to keep intact?

Heh. My read on Cindy's response was that it was gentle sarcasm. "Oh, geez, aiming, I'd never have considered doing that!"

I read it as "You're telling me to be careful? I'm already aware of that requirement. Tell me something useful instead."
