Oh the indignity. Not to mention the trauma. That awakening really was a lot like birth. Only this time, poor Kevyn will remember every detail, unfortunately for him.

I don't see Kevyn being very much use in THAT condition. Petey should have at least half assed the regular procedure, rather than just dumping him out like that. Just cleaning the slime out would be a beneficial way to reduce distractions.

Kevyn has respawned in undignified conditions before. Like the time he had to dig himself out of a shallow grave.

...assuming his intestines are full of that crap, how long will it take for his body to forcefully eject all of it?

I have imagery in my head now that is accompanied with a sound effect that goes "PFHIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTT" :|

I think that expression on his face and the noise that just occurred seems to suggest this just happened.

Yes, that was the brown note.

"The", implying he can get it out in one go. Maybe for comic purposes but I would expect this shit to take days to clear out naturally. Just think about how long it takes to clear the phlegm out of your lungs when you've been sick, and multiply the amount by 100.

Your snot isn't motile, and doing its best to get out of your system.

There is a real world equivalent. They use fluorocarbon liquid to clean out lungs after a drowning. It is dense enough to float the sand and silt out. You can live with that stuff in your lungs for quite a while. Also used for very deep dives on occasion. Mostly record attempts.

I think that it evaporates, so they don't need to pump ALL of it out.

There is an image around somewhere of a mouse floating in the stuff, totally under the liquid.

Sure that wasn't just a screencap from James Cameron's The Abyss?

Austin Powers' "Evacuation complete" scenario, turned up to 11?

Aww. Kevyn's genius has managed to make a social jump to responding appropriately to Elf, just when she needed it most and while he was probably feeling like he's 80% full of nanomotile goo. What's doubly good is while it doesn't remove the sting of losing the other Kevyn, him managing to read her is close enough to what she lost (the husband who apologised, compared to the husband who understood she needed someone to be there for her) it's enough to draw the pain from a lot of it.
