Hmm, so the conversion factor from Celcius to Fahrenheit is to multiply by 311.9?

Much more screwups here http://www.halfdone.com/Personal/Job/Pictures/ScrewUps/

I also rather doubt that a motherboard can reach 210 °C without starting to release the magic blue smoke. :)

Anyway, some of the Engrish on that site is hilarious:

Magnificently hillarious. Well, if my motherboard got to 210 C, it wouldn't release smoke. It would combust.

I feel no shame whatsoever in admitting that I did this to my landlord's grandchildren's computer.

Of course I used double-sticky-foam tape instead of string.

The worst ones are the pics of computers used by smokers.

Mix smoking with dogs, cats or other hairy pets, plus park the box on the floor with high pile carpeting...

Cleaning those out is NASTY. Then there was the one at the cement plant, that they would not put inside a cabinet with filtered air circulation.

Tandy computers back in the '80s had a problem with their CMOS batteries running down all the time. Radio Shack actually sold a kit/adapter which looked exactly like the one in the picture. It had a plastic block for holding four AA batteries, and a pair of wires that ran to the "CMOS battery" jumper, built for exactly such a purpose. The kit came with a velcro-pad pair for mounting the batteries, but retaining the ability to remove the module for changing.

Welcome to my parents' house.

And they wonder why I always have to replace their hardware so often.
