Hey all,
I just started my new job with American Greetings, and let me tell you... it's quite awesome. Everyone there is really tallented; some people design toy packaging, calendars, wrapping paper and more, while this group next door to me are all artists... they could draw circles around me. Wonder why they're not in the animation industry.
Before you ask, no, I don't make greeting cards

But I could, if they asked me. I work in liscencing, which is all about characters from other companies, as well as our own. We do work with Nickelodeon, Disney, Warner, the Muppets, etc... and we have our own properites like Care Bears and Stawberry Shortcake. I work on the house characters, and yes, I know the irony of a webcomic author working with Stawberry. Trust me, the guys there have a sense of humor too.
Anyway, it's been a lot to digest. First time living on my own, first time driving in and out of city traffic, and my first time dealing with a broken down vehicle without my folks to bail me out. Been without my car since Monday, meaning I've been getting home around seven and waking up at five AM. I have a comic drawn, it's just hard to find a good time to sit down and put it together. I don't have the luxury of sitting down for eight hours straight all night to finish one up to my usual standards... unless I figure out a better way to draw these, I'll have to wait until the weekend. It's heartbreaking to see this comic die out, and I'm determined to get up to speed, especially if it's a means to show off to my cowokers (hey look, I do awesome things too!!) Thanks for keeping this board alive; I'm hoping to return the favor.
