Tropical Storm Edouard is coming to Houston, sometime in the next 20 hours.
Currently, the forecast is that it will hit Galveston, or slightly south of Galveston, and travel northwest. That will put it across just south of Houston, meaning that Houston will be on the 'dirty' side of the storm.
I'll be making sure I have offsite backups tonight, and will be working on several customer locations tonight to do the same.
In case I lose power where I am, I'll be going out to my parent's house, about 30 miles away. (They have a well, and a generator, so we'll be okay for the basics, if necessary).
There is a generator on-site for the facility that is supposed to kick on automatically in case of trouble. I don't really expect any problems with the machines, but this is just a warning of what's coming.
