The Nightstar Zoo

Our website needs help. Badly. Its a sad combination of my poor design skills and lack of time.

Below are a few lists of things that we need to accomplish with this design.

We need:

• Current news about nightstar ticker
• Server information
• How to guide "To Nightstar"
• Forum Links
• Links to chat
• At least two spots to put some advertising (This will likely be a blend of custom advertising and global advertising)
• Flexibility to be able to add content easily. Either through a CMS or statically.
• Smooth design that can be easily modified

We would consider:

• Spot for Polls
• AJAXy interface, but in a sane fast way

Things we would like to avoid:

• Dark colors - I know we're Nightstar, but we don't need to be branded that way
• Flash

So theres the stipulations. Heres how it will work:

You will submit your design. Then on April 1, 2012 we will lock the thread and pick the top designs. Shortly after we will post a poll of the designs and let the community have a say in which designs they like the best. After that poll is over we will pick the winner.

Heres what you will win:

• We will link provide a link to your website at the bottom of every page
• A custom Title on the Zoo with anything you want!*
• A non-expiring Nickname and Channel on the IRC network **
• A custom vhost on the IRC network*
• Bragging rights to say that you designed the website

* This is within reason because we will not allow anything that is considered offensive. We will be the final say of what is "considered offensive".
** Any nickname that you currently own is eligible. Also if you do not have a channel you may give the gift to any non-Network Administration channel with permission from the owner
