I mean a a molocular levle?

Answer from a non-physicist:
Movement.
When something moves, it's energy.
Heat is when all the molecules are moving in different directions. Kinetic energy is when they're moving in the same direction.

On a "molecular level": electrons and photons and fun things like that carry energy. There is no "energy molecule" unless you count ATP, but that's not accurate. When you break ATP to ADP + Pi you release energy from bond breaking.
