1) How many pairs of synonyms can you find where one synonym occurs in order within the letters of the other? For example:
chocolate
municipality
masculine
deceased
I first saw this in a puzzle in GAMES magazine years ago; I remember there were at least six or so of them, but I don't remember them all. Hopefully we can come up with a ton, although knowing the traffic on this forum I'll get one post saying "That's interesting" and that'll be it. The answers were all elegant ones; don't post stupid ones like information, or hyphenate words to get more letters to use, or anything like that.
2) How many pairs of antonyms can you find where you can make one word into the other simply by adding one letter anywhere in the word? I've only found one instance so far:
Overt + c = Covert.
That can't be all of them. No trivial ones here either, please. For instance, the Greek suffix a- can be attached to tons of words with Greek roots to make opposites: theist + a = atheist, and so on.

Scharr, scharr, verscharr das Gebein, leg auch ihre weißen Schädel hinein. Mit Beton gießt du es aus, das Fundament vom Knochenhaus. Scharr, scharr, verscharr das Gebein, da ist noch Platz, da paßt noch wer rein. Hier tobte sich der Teufel aus, unten im Keller im Knochenhaus.
