Post subject:  Links Thread

Hey all,

Right, a links thread - please use to link to off-board websites displaying Fiction/Fan Fiction for situations that you think are inappropriate to post the full story here - most notably, where you want to draw attention to someone else's work and you don't have permission to repost here.

Please include any warnings that are appropriate (Lemon, Lime, etc - see the 'Identifying your catch (FAQ)' thread) BEFORE each link.

Please take any discussions about particular links or their contents to new threads on this forum - this thread to be used to post new links only. If a link is broken, try Private Messaging (PM) the author of the post first, rather than post in the thread.

Thanks!

Nice Mike

OK, first link - actually, not a single link, more of a webring.

"The Alliance" started back on the old CIS Compuserve FLIGHTSIM Forums, and made the move to the WWW somewhere between 5-8 years ago. It is made up of a loose collection of independent "squadrons" whose original intent was to play the old Star Wars: X Wing series space combat simulation games, fan fiction (normally partly-RPG based) and fan art. Since LucasArts stopped making the X Wing games, the groups have quietened down somewhat, but most retain their old fanfic archives online.

The stories can be violent, with a hint of romantic/sexual overtones but generally are not explicit (they tend to stick reasonably well to the Star Wars "ethos" on such matters).

So, the links:

Wolfshead Squadron (see the Reading Room)
CRS Morningstar (see the Lounge)
CRS Vigilant (see the Lounge)

The quality of the work is variable across the three sites I've linked to. However, I'd personally recommend any of the stories by Dario "Ibero" Pozo - you'll find them on the Wolfshead site.

Enjoy!

Nice Mike

FanFiction.net - a nice place full of fics from all genres. Anime, movies, books, you name it, it's probably there.

FictionPress.com - Brought to you by the same people as FF.net. Original fiction only.

Both FF.net and FP.com don't allow anything rateed NC-17. That doesn't mean there won't be any lemons or limes or slash though, as it is the authors who rate the material, not the administrators.

Media Miner - Similar to FF.net, but no restrictions on content.
