A good local gunsmith should be able to repair the Phoenix. As far as the PA-63, a good local gunsmith should be able to get you a new spring.
You'll get used to the soft trigger on the Ruger. What irritated me about the Rugers I've shot is that there's not really a definite stop at the end of the slack... You're taking in slack, you're taking in slack, you're taking in slack, YOU'RE FIRING!!
I've shot handguns before where there was a bit of slack in the trigger, but a definite resistance at the end of the slack... And it was only a tiny movement after that resistance... Those were nice. But you get used to the Ruger's trigger action after a while.
