I'll get pictures up soon of my various impliments of destruction, but I just sold my PA-63, and got two P-64's. (Polish makarov)

Nope, I'm expecting stiff recoil with the military-style loads that Wolf does for the makarov ammo.

I figure they'll fire like the PA-63, but hopefully without bashing the webbing of my hand.

I'm not going to fire them until I've completely stripped them down, including yanking out the safeties. The safety levers almost require both hands to move (working the hammer while flipping the safety slide is NOT a good way to use a safety)

Right now they are laid out (with spare magazines - I got two with each, then bought two more magazines from the dealer I sold the PA-63 to) in a hard case with eggshell foam - but dueling pistol style.

You're welcome to come down and help me try them out. (I'll probably take Severn from BLC out to the range one weekend)

I'm going to be back in Texas sometime in March or April. I'll bring a shootin' iron or two.

Sounds good to me. I've cleaned up the P64's. They seem decent, the double action pull is like hauling lead, but that's okay - I figure I'll be yanking the slide back anyway. Carrying a gun 'hot' is asking for it to go off - on your foot.

The P64 hurts as much as the PA-63, without the spiffy look.

However, they'd probably be good for concealed carry - where you don't care if your hand gets bashed for six rounds.

Well, that's $320 down the tubes (I bought two of them)

Animal - maybe you'll want to buy one off of me when you come down :)
