Spam can be decent but only if prepared properly. You HAVE to cook it for me to eat it. But once you do it can be pretty good. (of course, I lived in Hawaii for three years so I had to learn to like the stuff)

Concur. Fried, 'tween good bread, with cheese.

Why is that? Spam is common in Hawaii?

Spam is absurdly common in Hawaii. You can get spam sushi at any corner store in Waikiki.

Ewww.
Spam is ok, sushi should be outlawed. :)

Hmmm, I think I'm gonna start calling unwanted email 'sushi'. :)

I've had sushi once and it was good.

But spam is evil and bad. It stands for Sticky, Pink And Mushy.

There should have been an option for, "Yes, it's so-so, I might eat it again."

I've used it backpacking. Potted ham, too.

So have I. Some of them are quite tasty.

I enjoy SPAM too.

And I am absolutely addicted to sushi. Especially when it's got raw tuna.

MRE's are awesome, but you have to watch out for the hard tack in the older ones. If you tiled your house with those, you could live quite comfortably through Armagedon.

That being said, even the hard tack is quite tasty.

It's good with the MRE peanut butter. But your teeth better be in good shape.

Yes, it should. Unless we're talking about e-mail spam.

I hear that ships surgeons used to use it to take out rotten teeth.

I also have heard that they would stuff it in the Cannons when they ran out of amunition.

mmm. My father was born and raised in Hawaii, so I learned to love SPAM. :D I didn't realize that SPAM Musubi was actually a dish that other people enjoyed, though! Everyone else always balks whenever I mention SPAM sushi.

I prefer fried SPAM with rice, though. Then again, I prefer just about everything with rice.

Cool, me too. I was one of the only people who had rice for breakfast. I don't eat it nearly as much now that I'm in college.

I've eaten Spam a few times. I don't think it's anything special, but I'd eat it once in a while.

I, too, lived in Hawaii years ago (one Navy brat). While being a haole I mostly ate haole food (MacDonalds) I did eat my fair share of spam. Not too mention saimin, manapua, kim chee, banana lumpia,...

It's all about the plate lunch, brah!
