What is the most awesome pie ever in the history of pies?

Pie is simply good. A nice peasent pie followed by pecan, or a nice meat pie followed by cherry. Pies are just good. For me what sounds the best depends on the mood I'm in and the time of year. I'm still all for a good plum and apple pie for breakfast.

The Food Network showed an episode of "Unwrapped" today which had a segment on the history of Pecan Pies. I wouldn't call them the king of all pies but they certainly did look quite good.

Best pecan pie I ever had was in the Jim's restaurant in San Antonio.

I'd drive back down there tomorrow just for a piece of that pie. It truly was the Lord of Pies.

Can't there be an option for a Pecan/Lemon Meringue tie? They're both my favorites... but since there was no Pecan option, LM gets my vote.

If cheesecake was allowed into this battle, though, pie would lose SO badly. 8-)
