First, Lore Sjöberg, formerly of Brunching Shuttlecocks fame, along with a couple other wacky and crazy people, have a site called Little Fluffy Industries which links to a bunch of Internet game sites. Most are Flash, but a couple are Java or some sort of script.

Second, one game I found on Little Fluffy Industries, called Spybotics, is really really addictive. It's RPG meets Tron, kinda. But it's fun.

Anyway.

Spybotics was fun... ran into three security level 3 nodes that seem impossible with the available units.

Well, it's not impossible, since I've beaten it, but which nodes are they?

I got past the one with the ridiculously powerful dogs, unlocked enough good stuff that I could take the rest.

And I might add that this game is INCREDIBLY buggy. Not to nitpick... ;)

Hrm. Bugs? I haven't noticed much at all.

Click on a square in the middle of moving a guy, go back to finish moving, no good. You can use his action, still.

If you're in the middle of a move, grab a credit, and click on another credit before the window disappears, that unit becomes unselectable (happened twice).

Often halfway through the enemy moves, it'll stop updating your screen so you can't see what's going on until they stop.

Etc. You know. Bugs. :)

By the way, this could probably be posted in Narshe Caves. Might want to think about it.

Also, the game is kinda cool. I didn't get to play much, but what I saw looked good, especialy for lego.

Hmmm, I suppose there are bugs, but they're not completely game-breaking... mostly just irritating, and they can be worked around.

Select the program and then hit "undo"... he'll go back to where he was, and you can position him again.

"My hand hurts when I make a fist." "Then don't make a fist."

Yeah, it was irritating the first time it happened, but it's easily avoidable.

That's probably Flash hanging... the program is pretty CPU-intensive, it seems. It doesn't do that for me as long as I don't switch windows while it's going on. Most of what happens during the enemy's moves you can tell afterwards when it's your turn, anyway. But, yeah, this one's pretty annoying.

Exactly. It's just a matter of polish, really. Little crap like that can make a great game frustrating to play.

I monitor resources first thing when I see suspicious program behavior. My statbar is like a watch now, always glancing at the thing to see where things stand... not having it is really awkward. The CPU hadn't crested 50% that I noticed. If the flash game is trying to download something without threading it, that would do this... but there's nothing they should have to download.

Just remembered my favorite: I clicked "undo" while moving my doctor. It erased the unit I had last moved from the game board and put the doctor in its position. :P
