Anyone know what would be the best way to have virtual walkthrus of different operating systems on a cd so that a person can put the cd into thei computer, and a menu will let them select which OS they want to go thru?

Sometimes, the best technology is the stone axe. :-)

Rent a digital camcorder and aim it at an LCD monitor (CRT's will flicker). Play with the camcorder until you've got good, tight framing. Then rip the movies into a low-enough res-format that you can't tell that you videoed it. :-)

videoed is a weird word.

Higher tech solution? Buy a video card that has TV out, and run it into a VCR.

Software solutions are going to be sketchy at best. There are FANTASTIC products for it out there for Windows (think Computer-Based Training software, like Camtastic), but Mac and Linux? Meh, you need a videocard that will let you capture it in hardware.

Mac has Snapz Pro X, by Ambrosia Software, bundled and registered. It captures movies too.
