Kablooey!

Scientists are trying to create quark-gluon plasmas in the lab to see how the universe could have developed.

Hell, I made one last night.

It's the inevitable result of a large helping of Chicken Vindaloo.

Wonderful.

I just hope they know what they're doing. I don't want the planet blown up because some smartass scientist wanted to see primordial matter.

If it was, you wouldn't know it, and wouldn't care.

You know, I do recall this guy not that long ago who claimed that an experiment in a particle accelerator was endangering the world...First he said it would create strangelets that would convert all of Earth into strange matter. Then he claimed it would create a micro-black hole that would gradually swallow the planet.
Considering the experiment reproduced conditions which sometimes happen naturally, I think it's safe to say the guy was a nut.

I've heard physiscists can make small singularities in particle accelerators to study certain things. I don't know if it's true but it wouldn't be that dangerous- the little ones evaporate due to Hawking radiation in very, very little time.
