Cold Stone is the best ice cream... ever. Period.

I haven't eaten there before. According to location, the nearest Cold Stone is about 50 blocks south of my house.

Eh, I wasn't impressed when I went there. Ben & Jerry's 0wnz.

I don't like Cold Stone, mostly because the closest stores are nearly 3 hours away.

Then you need to move. Period. After tasting ColdStone ice cream I can't even go into a Haagen Dazs anymore. It's possibly the best thing in the entirety of existance.

Holy crap, there's one just 2 miles away from me. I had no idea.

Cold Stone is the Krispy Kreme of ice cream. Widely praised, yet mediocre.

I can think of no words to describe the depth of your wrongness.

Strangely enough, I've never tried Cold Stone before; there are none where I come from. Though I just might go look for one after reading this thread. And visiting the website and looking at the pretty ice creams...

My current favourite brand is Haagen-Dazs. I like Ben&Jerry's and Swensens too. Will get back to you guys once I've experienced Cold Stone.

Cold Stone is not really the same thing as a lot of icecream stores. It really does vary from store to store how great of an experience it is. Though on the whole it is rather good. (I like the stuff better than the premade stuff other stores sell, if only for the fact that it is fresher) The only bad side to it is that it is kinda expensive.

You'll get no argument from me there. But I'm an acknowledged cheap bastard, and I still say it's worth every penny.

Well, it's certainly true that Krispy Kreme sucks. I dunno about the other.

I like Krispy Kreme. They're great. But there's no comparing the two. Cold Stone is in a completely different league of awesomeness.

I'll bite... what donuts qualify as "kick-ass" with you? Or are we talking non-big-chain old-fashioned bakery goodness variety?

Well, the best I've had are Round Rock Donuts, which you can only get where I live, but I've had them from various other bakeries (grocery stores, airports, whatever) and they tend to beat Krispy Kreme hands down.

Austin is a place I've always wanted to visit. I'm going to try and make it out there this year if I can help it. If I do, I'll add a Round Rock stop to my itinerary.

Please, no one compare Cold Stone to Krispy Kreme any more. It hurts our feelings.

My favorite donut place is called Tasty's. I don't think it's a chain though. Only problem is there not open sundays and sunday morning is when I eat donuts.

Well, it's nice to visit, but don't try to live there. Please; it's too crowded already.

I may actually end up going to school there. UTA is one of the schools I am apllying to. It isn't my first choice though, that is Stanford.

I'm in NYC right now... after living here I think it would be a physical impossibility for me to consider anywhere else to be crowded. I have no idea if I'll ever end up living in Austin but I definitely want to relocate to the southwest. The winters up here are god awful, and the cost of living is even worse.

Word of advice to anyone considering living in NYC: Don't... seriously...
