I have far too much fun butchering Steve's character designs in horrible, terrible ways...

Don't you just hate it when something gets stuck in your head and won't leave you alone until you finish it? I just wish I was better at cel shading.

I know exactly what you mean. I just wish I had your artistic talents.

I used to write to get them out of my head but that never went anywhere. I draw in bursts every once in a while. It rarely takes long for me to get frustrated with being unable to draw something and not picking up a pencil of any sort again for weeks or even months.

You'd be amazed how much lack of talent can be compensated for by a wacom tablet and a multitude of software like Painter 8 and Freehand. Being able to erase over and over without worrying about damaging the paper is useful and the Undo button is something I couldn't live without. The fact that Steve works with physical ink brushes makes me both cringe and stare in amazement. I gave up trying to physically ink things quite a while ago because as often as not, I had to retouch them after scanning to hide my mistakes.

Butchering, Onissarle? I wouldn't call it that . :) It's a form of fan art, in a way. And besides, you created Mecha-Sammy in the first place...

Heck, he might as well go and mecha-nize all of Steve's characters that are named "Sam"...

but that might take awhile... ;-)
