She kills people. It's her job. If someone is a murderer for killing one of her troops, so are the entireity of Tagon's Toughs (and the insult loses a little punch).
You might say that the Toughs are helpless prisoners and therefore immune to being killed, but so far treating them as prisoners has resulted in a large number of casualties among the furry guys, and therefore it is reasonable to cease to do so.
If you look at it objectively, then yes, she is being unreasonable. But since when does objectivity play a part in this sort of thing? The reasoning tends to be along the lines of "It's okay for us to kill you, because you're [evil/wrong/sitting on something we want/just plain not us]. It is
not okay for
you to kill
us, because I
know us, and killing people I know is murder." It's not logical, to be sure, but it's one of the driving forces of history.
