Not strictly an error, but in http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20060803.html Petey's head gets very small in the third panel.

The comic has "thixotropic" spelled correctly, but the footnote has it spelled "thixatropic" which dictionary.com says is not a word.

http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050928.html
This comic's footnote also has thixotropic spelled wrong.

http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20040114.html

Last panel, Schlock's bubble: "There's" shouldn't be capitalized.

ETA: Also, http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20041031.html

Eleventh panel, narrator: "Banger's".

ETA: The spelling of the DaMEs' name changes; is it meant to? Here, it's "Paan'uri":
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050709.html
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050710.html
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050712.html
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050714.html
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050716.html
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20050717.html

But in these later strips it's "Pa'anuri":
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20060402.html (panels 4,5,6 and 8)
http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20060406.html (panel 1)

Extra ETA: http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20080330.html
There's an unclosed italics tag in the transcript, in the last three lines.

Panel 2: Admiral Tebbir says "A debt we could never have repayed". The transcript lists it correctly with "A debt we could never have repaid"

In today's [05.21.2008] strip, I think there's a piece of punctuation missing - a [semi]colon, dash, full stop or otherwise. The first line reads "It's perfect, corporal the wreckage forces 'em to pick dock four, and then we shoot 'em right through the holes in the wreckage." As it stands, it reads as if the lieutenant has affectionately named the wreckage "Corporal" - "Oh, look who's here, it's Corporal the wreckage!". I believe, unless I've missed something, that a piece of punctuation should follow the word "corporal".

in the comic for 5/22/2008 shouldn't TAG be saying that he was 30 inches too tall but is 30 inches shorter now, instead of 30 inches too short?

Nope. Think about it. All you need for a nannybag is an intact head

"Oy, you're the bloke what's recruiting, yeah?"

"what's" is quite possibly meant to be "that's" (although people do use what's in strange ways)

I believe that was an intentional grammatical error, actually. It's a colloquialism, reflecting the "rough", ineloquent tongue of the locals. In England, it's a common phrase amongst the less-educated unwashed masses. ;)

Are annotations considered part of copy editing?

If so, very minor:

In today's comic http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20080614.html on panel 1, it reads:

Didn't we just give you new eye?

It should read

Didn't we just give you a new eye?

August 11th. 3rd panel.

Should be 'woe,' not 'wo.'

1st and 2nd panels, Ebby's word bubble doesn't have a "hook" pointing to him. It just hangs over his head and you know it's him because Schlock's word bubble has a "pointy hook."

In today's strip http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20080817.html, in panel 2, the phrase "This means that in Earth's gravity they would be dropping just over four meters before arriving" is used, but there is no reference in the previous sentences to "they" meaning the sniper's bullets.

It sentence needs either an additional previous sentence, or for "they" to be replaced with "the bullets" or something similar.

Also, same panel, the full stop should come after the closing bracket, not before.

Apparently Ebby is a fan of Elizabethan era English, so he gets a pass on that one. ;)

Spelling error in today's footnote: "And if that seems like a lot of crates for a few theives to steal" should read "And if that seems like a lot of crates for a few thieves to steal"

I believe that the comic for 9/7/08 http://www.schlockmercenary.com/d/20080907.html has a typo in it. In the third panel, "I'm starting too feel like that's actually how it happened." 'too' should be 'to'. I believe 'to' is being used as a preposition here. It's been too long since I've taken English though, so the reasoning is iffy, it may be a split infinitive... anyway, I think it needs to be changed.

Today's strip (17 Oct 2008)?

first panel "enough like you make you proud" like you TO make you proud?
second panel "targets for me vent my frustration" for me TO vent my frustration?

Two to's? is this a secret ballet message?

Happy birthday, sir.

In Today's strip, 10/19/08, Reverend Theo's lines in the second to last panel end with a period that's has a space right before it. "... afraid of not passing on your genes, or your name ."

In the 11/13/08 strip, first panel, the newsie refers to the Fraternity For Free Credomar as the Eff-Three-Cee. In panel two of the 11/14 strip, Tagon calls them the Three-Eff-Cee.

If that's an error, I'd say keep it. It makes the newsie less smart than Tagon.

Location: Largest Island, Sol III - invasion not recommended, terrain and wildlife extremely hostile.
In today's strip (6 Dec 08), Elf's breastplate is the same light gray as most of the rest of her armour for the first two panels, but in the last one it is the 'detail' dark gray of her helmet and shoulderplates.
