Oh, and some power armour to match would be nifty too.

In this case, by the power invested in me by having hung 'round these parts for far too many working hours over the last six or so years, I grant thee the following forum weapon:

A battlesuit with integral plasma canon. There is a 30 gallon reservoir of top-grade blood plasma, suitable for transfusing into anyone who needs it. And, of course, as stated, this is "canon"ical blood plasma, so you don't need to worry about it violating any ordinances or conventions. And the suit? Brooks Brothers, grey pinstripe on black wool. No protection, but looks VERY sharp on the battlefield.

In light of your cunning at asking for a weapon without tripping the household "anti-beggar" defense systems, I grant you:

The Dragon's Teeth of Odysseus. Just sprinkle them in the ground and twenty minutes later 1,000 copies of the smartest, sneakiest, most dangerous son of a gun to ever walk the Ancient Greek battlefields will spring up and do your bidding. The only problem is convincing them to turn back into Dragon's Teeth again...for that, you need to learn Ancient Greek.

Don't feel badly. I have ~300 posts here over the last three years, and I don't believe I was ever issued one.

I was never issued a forum weapon either. Fortunately, I brought my own: a thermonuclear LART. Only been used once. It packs quite a punch, but the fallout can be a bit messy.

I'm sure I was issued one, but I promptly forgot what it was. Proably for the best.

Here's a requisition form for the Glubco Mark 42 Nullcaster.

Point and pull the trigger to cast a null at your target. It nullifies anything, sometimes including the wielder's memory of what he or she fired it at, why it was fired and even the act of firing it. (Glubco is sure they'll have that nullfield backscatter operational irregularity fixed in the Nullcaster Mark 44, or was it the Omega 9?)

Now all you need to do is remember to take this form to the quartermaster and where the quartermaster's office is.

Oh great. Well, I guess I will have to squeeze them both in. And a hearty thanks to you as well, I had always feared that might happen, that someone would give me one and I would miss it . . .

Edit: Well, I got them both. I do like the "bone" theme I got working. And impressed that you remembered.

Awesome! Time for me to run a protection racket and threaten the opposition with "spraying them with an unnamed yellowish liquid of organic origin".
If I REALLY don't like them I'll put ice blocks in the plasma and pour it down their shirts.

I still haven't managed to translate the crazy multilingual instruction manual for mine - I'm using the manual as a doorstop and the weapon itself as a bludgeoning tool.

Wow... Thanks Bushranger, you may have given me what could be considered the most deadly forum weapon yet... the license to write myself any weapon I please.

of course, if I actually described anything I'm armed with, I'd be breaking the whole point of the weapon, which is to appear completely unarmed and therefore not able to participate.. or that could be me, thinking the absolute worst again. :p

Seriously though, am I allowed to describe what weapon I'm using if I decide it's time to pull one?

PS: Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I posted to this thread and one other, then never bothered reading them.

Welll you could describe it, but if you're using the Dis-Arm-Ing Device no-body will be able to see that you have what you're describing. This will likely result in their calling for the nice young men in their clean white coats...

While I was never issued a forum weapon my weapon of choice would have to be the rods from god. Nothing says CF like the hand of god smashing you like the bug you are.

*shrug* Kinda an odd request, but....ok, whatever you want.

I hereby grant you the "Rods From God". Any time you want, just snap them in two and His hand will smash you like the bug you are.

I think I'd like a glaive with a blade made of iron(y).

Also, a vial of sulphuric acid sense of humour.

Got any of those in the armory?

Perhaps, but those who request their forum weapon find their wish granted, but not in the ways they hoped.

I made the mistake of asking to be armed and was given a Jedi's severed arm. I mostly use it for poking things I really shouldn't touch, though I've recently wired up some electrodes to the muscles and can now use it as a rudimentary gripper. You know, for when that remote control is just a little too far away to reach.

Fine, whatever, there you go.

Unfortunately, it looks like the vial has leaked onto the glaive. Here's a mop to clean up the puddle of humorous irony with.

Why is everyone packing around here? I'd hate to see a flame war. In any case, a fine set of Noodle Implements would be a powerful, but unspecific weapon.

I was given a sock full of nickels. I sold the nickels for a second sock and enough pennies to pack them both with cosh.

I was never issued a Forum Weapon, so I jury-rigged the Memory Powered Needle of Deflection. It can deflect a thread based solely on what I remember, (accuracy not included). The downside is that you can never predict where the thread gets deflected to.
It can also be used to prick people who inflate their estimates.

I submit this weapon for approval as my Official Forum Weapon.

Fair enough, there you go; a needle that can deflect all forms of thread, yarn or other string-like object. Just don't try doing any sewing with it.

Novulae--true, but note the important part: when the Rods break, God's hand smashes maheshjr2000 like a bug. Whether the person that had the Rods thrown at him dies too depends on God's accuracy and feelings about collateral damage. :D

I ask for the weapons exact effect and request a new one if it is deemed suicidal.
