The Tough Day uniform is powered armor, and Elf was seen wearing her uniform under powered armor before. Tagon is probably doing so as well.

IF the uniform has a waistband, and IF the catheters are REALLY smart, Tagon might be able to... cooperate with having catheters bypass his uniform belt in a very uncomfortable fashion.

Failing that, they're going to need to introduce some sort of cutting device INTO the armor... this sounds awkward.

Technically this is the sort of thing that should be gone over when the armor is first issued, rather than waiting until it's actually in use in the field...

I dunno... to me, the look on Tagon's face in the last panel is that of a man whose nether regions are about to be probed by remote-control machinery...

It would only be good news if Tagon wasn't wearing armored underwear, and he specifically said it was the worst good news he'd heard. So we can safely assume he's NOT wearing armor of any kind under his armor, and I'm sure the suits can be recharged safely in combat situations, so, even though the rations may not be very enjoyable, nobody in the suits will die of privation. Boredom, maybe, but not privation.

We can also assume that the reason BinWalski wanted Schlock's plasgun was that he cannot take on an armored soldier bare-handed. I know that Kevyn was able to take on tanks and armored personnel in midget super-soldier mode, but that fact is known to Tagii and Kevyn, so we can assume that the Tough's armor has been hardened with unifield shields that are nannie-proof and stronger than BinWalski. Schlock is powerful, but even he lost against a squad of sufficiently-strong armored soldiers.

Actually, the main reason for keeping the Gavs alive, especially if they are suspected of being suborned, is to find out what their goal is. Nobody in Gav-Corp knows that Oisri is the Mother Of All Annie-Plants (MOAAP). Its value is immense, and not just as a weapon. If the technology could be reverse-engineered, it would allow annie plants thousands of times larger to be safely built. Taking the statement that the output of an annie plant increases exponentially with its radius, and knowing that Oisri is so much larger than a Battleplate, it could probably move a fairly large planet around. At least one the mass of Uranus.

Tailor called it 'good' news, then added qualifiers. If the qualifiers were unimportant, Tagon would have called it 'mildly uncomfortable good new', but since he was clearly asking about catheter functions, he wouldn't have much grounds for complaint.

Since Tailor's qualifiers about armored underpants apparently ARE relevant, the quality of Tailor's so-called 'good' news has severely deteriorated, and Tagon is therefore referring to it as the 'very worst good news I've heard all day"

Or, Tagoon is simply horrified at the idea that he may be ffeeling these "smart" catheters some time soon. I know I'd be horrified.

You just know Tagon is not one to sit still for a briefing on how to wear armor.

I don't think the armour is shielded. We learned from Haban that for shields you either need an anniplant capable of generating enough juice to shield you entirely or an onboard-AI that can detect enemy fire and calibrate the shields on the fly. AFAIK, tailor's armour has neither.
I'd say KoBinnski wanted Schlock's plasgun because it's one of the few ways of permanently killing an amorph and because it's always nicer to be able to kill stuff from afar. If the civies hadn't panicked, Schlock might have been able to vaporize the supersoldier before he could close the distance. In the same way, one of the new zombies might have been able to squeeze off a shot before being torched by TAGII.

Also I would imagine because it's one of the few ways of permanently killing KoBinnski, or at least doing so quickly enough to prevent him reanimating.

That's actually an interesting point... just WHO was requesting Schlock's plasgun at that point? Was it Kowalski seeking superior firepower, or was it Binnie seeking to be put out of his misery? (I'm pretty sure it was Binnie who said "Thank You" though)

To most women, knowing makes no difference regarding coping with the pain of thier first time being probed... so now Kaff can in theory understand how they feel...
